MKNA All Neighborhood Meeting

The "city" is coming to Meridian-Kessler on Thursday, May 12, 2011. The Meridian-Kessler All Neighborhood Meeting will be held in the Community Room of Northwood Christian Church, 46th & Central, on Thursday, May 12, doors opening at 6:00pm with program beginning at 6:30pm.

Prepare all your inquiries, questions and compliments for representatives of the city services departments who will be present to meet residents one-on-one and to make presentations to the audience. There will also be Q&A time allotted.

City Departments committed to attending include:
Department of Public Works.....addressing your questions about potholes, road resurfacing, sidewalk repair, drainage, trash pick-up, recycling & Tox-Drop.
Metropolitan Development Division....pertaining to housing development, abounded housing, code enforcement issues, economic development, historic housing,
grants & assistance, Mayors' Neighborhood Liaisons
Indy in the parks answering questions about summer programs, amenities, greenways (Monon Trail), golf and more!
Health & Hospital...responsible for Housing & Neighborhood Health (living issues-no rodents, clean, lighting), weeds, peeling paint, gutters, abandoned autos
IMPD....crime increase or decrease, protection issues, traffic, accountability by legal departments, personal accountability
County Councillors.....current actions, climate of Council, resident involvement with Council
Indpls Power & lighting, health issues with electrical outages, tree trimming/IURC issue, bill paying online

Additional representations from other city departments are expected to be in attendance to meet with residences and address any issues you have.

Musical entertainment will be provided by students from IPS School 70 and BRMHS, both performing arts schools in the IPS system. Zone Delegates on the MKNA board representing the various zones of the neighborhood will be present to greet neighbors and sign-up any who wish to be on an email list to be kept up to date on current information and activities within their zone and in the MK area. Many zones also have parties, clean-ups and a close relationship within their own smaller areas.

You can get information about the up-coming MKNA Home Tour (June 17-19) become a member of MKNA and best of all....there will yummies and snacks to nibble on while you learn and enjoy meeting and greeting friends and neighbors throughout the evening!!!!!!
