It's time once again to decorate our neighborhood streets with holiday luminaries. Please join your neighbors on Christmas Eve by placing your luminaries along the street at dusk. As in previous years, luminaries will be delivered to you door step the week before Christmas. If you are unable or will be out of town, please ask a neighbor to set them out for you. When everyone participates the result is stunning.

The tradition of  luminaries come from Mexico. It has been celebrated for many years in New Mexico before spreading to communities throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. It has traditions deep in many holiday celebrations and is a long-standing tradition in Forest Hills.
